Snow...everyone loves it right?

Sitting here listening to my little brother & his friend incessantly ranting on about there being a slight chance of snow led to this blog. Which brings me to the question what is so special about snow & why does everyone love it so much? I remember when I was little it hardly ever used to snow, but when it did, everyone was so excited for it, there was definitely something magical about it when you were little, especially if you had never seen white blobs falling from the sky before. Just hearing them talking about it makes me excited, I  guess that makes me just as bad as them haha.

One good thing about snow is that it really does bring everyone together, and it makes everyone more motivated to spend more time outside and with your family, because it's not everyday you get beautiful white powder covering the ground. Unless you live somewhere like Antarctica, or even Canada, which I would love to visit one day, as it's so beautiful & believe it or not I love cooler weather. I love dressing up in big warm coats, cute woolen hats, and gloves, it's so cosy, and if you have a fire to come home to and a big mug of hot chocolate, even better.

People might think it's weird but I honestly love the rain as well, I love walking in it, not big pelting rain, where you can't see in front of you, just rain drops, and I love the smell of it. I love going to sleep with it pelting on the roof, and waking up to it raining outside (especially if you don't have to get up just yet, it makes you feel a lot more cosy, and appreciate the warm bed you sleep in). rain's just so refreshing. Anyway even though snow can be a pain sometimes, having to clear the road, the cold that comes with it, and it inevitably turning into muck & dirt, it's beautiful while it lasts,  which sounds a little bit like a philosophy to life, don't take anything for granted, because it can be gone in a second.

Halo Braid

 Only good for long hair:
This looks really good if you have different colours in your hair, such as foils, Last week I did my hair in a Halo Braid, also inspired by Zoella's hairstyle video's, as my other hairstyle posts.
It was really simple actually, I curled my hair, sprayed it with hair spray so it would hopefully hold out for the day.
Then I parted my hair down the middle, and then brought both ends of my hair to my shoulders. I then got a smallish strand of hair, under my ear, on one side of my head, and plaited it to the end, again this would be good to use clear rubber bands, but I don't have any such thing so I just tied it with a plain black hair tie, and will pull the tie out just before it's clipped down. Then I did the same on the other side, and brushed my hair back, so it was out of my face.
I took one plait from one side of my head, pulled it over the top of my head as a head band, and clipped it down the bottom end of my plait, as it's easier to cover up that way., do the same with the other side, you can cross it over the first plait, and clip it down, hopefully you only need one clip for each plait, so it's not as noticeable, and then you can pull some of your hair over, and cover the clips up. Then your done, it's that easy. Sorry I realise I should've taken the pictures throughout the process of this hairstyle, but I didn't know I'd be blogging this. I love trying new hair styles, it's exciting experimenting, and being able to show off, and maybe one day you could even do it on your children, and, then you'd be glad you knew how to do it! :)

Fairy Tales

Went to see the new version of Cinderella yesterday, it's such a good wholesome movie, if you haven't seen it yet you need to :) Honestly I'm a sucker for any romance or happy ending's haha, I found myself loving this film, the acting was so good, and it wasn't cheesy and another boring repeat of the same story line. I wish they made more films like this, it's something I'd love to show my kids. It makes you feel good inside, even though it's not exactly realistic, can't we all at least hope for the happily ever after we always dreamed of as kids? Meeting the man of your dreams, falling in love, and having the perfect life after.
I know I'm still a kid at heart ;')  I mean The Lion the Witch & the Wardrobe is still one of my top movies, isn't it crazy to even have the notion that there could be an entire other world out there, just beyond your wardrobe? ;) kidding, but honestly, if you've never thought of this, then where's your imagination? Even though this cinema was full of little kids with their mums, it wasn't a childish movie. I even had a few tears in my eyes, secretly wishing life was like this (The ending of course)
If you've seen this movie I'd love to know your thoughts on it :)

FIRST BLOG POST!

Hey whoever's reading this! :)
This is just a place to express my thoughts, share what I may have bought, and when I go traveling, I would love to have a place to write about it all. I love trying new hair styles, it's an exciting creative challenge for me, and yesterday I did the milk maid braid (I'll insert a picture) inspired by Zoella's blog (suprise suprise) it was really fun to  do. It turned out really nice. I love the 1800's Victorian era, so this looked perfect for it, very elegant. This is how you do it, if you want to leave some bits out, such as your fringe, to give your face more shape, and not look so bare, you can, although I found it annoying having my fringe unclipped, as it's soo huge, and kept getting into my eye haha! Then you part you hair in the middle, do two even plaits on the side (it's best to tie it in clear elastic bands, which I don't have so before I clipped it down I pulled out the hair tie), twist one, pull it over the top of your  head, (hopefully you have enough hair for this) and

clip it down, do the same with the other side, and you can tuck the end of it into the other plait, it didn't really work for me, but it was  the first time for me doing this hairstlye, or any updo really, I tried to hide the hair clips, but didn't really work, oh well there's so much room for trial & era, I know this pictures aren't that great quiality, but it was easy to take it off my webcam! Hope everyone has fun doing this! :) xx
P.S Happy 52nd Birthday to my Dad (for yesterday), love ya! xxxx
